Garland

Garland, located in Dallas County, is the ninth largest city in Texas with a population of 233,564 residing within 57 square miles.  The median appraised value for a home in Garland is $111,700; average apartment rent is $895 and the median income of $49,652. Garland has a strong industrial base with more than 4,500 businesses. Raytheon is one of Garland's major employers.  Garland ISD is the 14th largest school district in Texas and serves Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse. More than 58,000 students are enrolled in its 71 schools including some of the best Magnet programs in Texas.
